TESTIMONIALS
A spellbinding adventure into a magical realm. Highly recommend!
In the first book of his Guardian of the Realms trilogy, the author paints a vivid landscape of nature and magic in a coherent, alternative world. Princess Ailys, a strong and courageous girl and her friend Eroan, leave their home and family to navigate a treacherous journey filled with magical animals and strong adversaries. If you loved Philip Pullman's, characters Lyra and Will, you will want to read this first book of Bazile's trilogy.
Guardian of the Realms is sure to become your next favorite read. Patrice has an incredible way of drawing you into the story of Princess Ailys, Eroan and the elemental world. His writing is vivid and exciting.

MY STORY

Guardian of the Realms began as a bedtime story, told in French, to my very perceptive young daughter. Elves, fairies, a unicorn, a Wizard and an evil sorceress came to life in a magic land. Every night, my daughter would eagerly ask, “What happens next?” and would stay awake as long as she could to hear more of the story. Night after night, the characters, the creatures of this magical kingdom and the Spirit of the Land came alive. As everyone does, the storyland elves grew up. The heroes, Ailys and Eroan, deepened their friendship, strengthened their actions and discovered the unseen. The story stayed with me long after my daughter clamored for her bedtime tales. Years later, I sat down to write, creating draft after draft at my desk, in a Boulder coffee shop or anywhere I could. I finally completed what would become Ailys: Princess of the Elves, the first book of the Guardian of the Realms trilogy.
